• Find-it will find any file, anywhere on your disk or the entire network – with any criteria you give. First of all: it scans files for their content. You can even search files containing multiple sentences in any desired logical combination using logical operators (and / or / not). Find-it will find content in almost any file format, even if packed inside ZIP, CAB or mail attachments and (using a remote free tool) even PDF. Find-it must only transmit full text within bitmaps (ie scanned documents) e-mails contained in customer databases and some file formats using Unicode.
• Find files according to their content, lightning fast, without prior indexing! The tool will crawl through your folders or drives at high speed. If you have 20 GB of data and search for any file created in the last month containing a particular combination of phrases, it will be found in less than a minute. If you are able to apply additional attributes (ie: type of file) the scan can even be completed within seconds. Even if you really have to scan all the files without any attraction like date or type even on a mediocre computer Find – it will process more than 500 Megabytes of Data per Minute.
• Lists of found files are presented as a virtual directory, similar to the Windows Explorer. Found files can be copied, moved, run, viewed, zipped and handled however you want to handle them. Lists of found files can be saved for further use. Questions can be saved and repeated whenever you want. Lists of found files can be searched for other criteria, exported to html or plain text… there’s just nothing you can’t do.
